While volunteering at
Stone Fire Art Studio,
Maxine Trainer, reminded me of an art teacher I had in
Elementary school at Challenger 7. Mrs. Van was my art teacher the whole time I was at
Challenger 7. So ever since I was in second grade all the way until 6th grade I had the same art teacher. Mrs. Van always made art fun, no matter what we were doing. Maybe that's the reason Maxine reminded me of my old
Elementary art teacher. Maybe it was they we're both a little crazy and didn't always make the most sense when explaining things. But it could have also been how talented both of them are. Mrs. Van was very
talented with everything she did. Maxine is so talented at her paintings. I love Maxine's signature paintings on the
textured canvas she makes. I'm glad that
volunteering at Stone Fire Art Studio, helped to remind me of my Elementary school teachers, Mrs. Van.
